The Kokopelli. An ancient and mystical symbol, seen often throughout the Southwest.  Area visitors may not know his name, but they usually come to know one thing about him:  the song of the Kokopelli IS the song of the Southwest.  He (specifically his head) serves as the hour indicator on this striking piece.  The head of the arrow points to the minute.  Yes, this is a clock, ready to be owned or given, but even more, "The Song Of The Kokopelli" is also a chorus, ready to be joined...

Where is the time shown on this piece? (That was a rhetorical question.) Notice the dotted circle that the outer minute-ring and the inner hour-ring travel along? That's it. At noon/midnight, the minute and hour rings overlap, or "intersect," hence the name. Here's a point to ponder: how many times during a twelve-hour period does such an intersection take place?
