The light-to-dark line in the area at the center shows the hour, the minute hand is actually pretty conventional. Also, this Clock AS Art_TM features faux jewels at 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11 o’clock. Also available in our standard frame, which can be seen on a number of  other Clock AS Art_TM pieces in this catalog.

Simplicity is always in style, and here’s a case in point. The gradation marks the hours, the two outer circles mark the minutes.  Why two circles?  Balance.  White-ringed black circle, black-ringed white circle; dark against light, light against dark; both show up all the time, both make up the times of our lives.  Don’t forget, this is more than just a clock we're talking about here; it's "The Clock AS Art_TM".

This one may be just a l-i-t-t-l-e off the wall. There are some who seem to find other Clock AS Art_TM pieces easier to figure out than this one.  It works like this:  the yellow “bar” on the outside rim is minutes, the yellow-black split in the oval is hours.  Hard to read or not, it IS obscure! Clear faux jewels mark 3, 6, 9,and 12 hours, with red jewels for the rest.
