Gazing out, you see a ship, suspended in space near some distant planet -- or maybe it’s the earth, who knows? While the entire scene seems to slowly rotate, you know that this illusion results from the rotation of your own ship. At 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock, flames appear at the back of landing craft. The blue sweeping ray indicates the minutes.

Like its cousin, "The Disappearing Hours," "Disappearing Hours 2"  (also?) only displays the current hour as the hour hand passes over it.  However, some prefer it because of its more conventional appearance.  Which do YOU like better?  The animation illustrates the blue face.
